Please take a look at our email about the Friends of Aine Program being offered at Weston. We have a few spots left, and the registration deadline is fast approaching.
The Friends of Aine program in Manchester, New Hampshire, provides free bereavement support services specifically designed for children, teens, and families who have experienced the death of a loved one. Their core services include peer-to-peer support groups that operate during the academic year in age-specific, activity-based sessions. These groups, led by a trained volunteer in collaboration with Ms. Emery, are designed to help participants understand and process their grief through evidence-based activities rather than clinical therapy. This year, we are happy to announce that they will be offering this service here at Weston School. Children will attend six or eight group sessions to share experiences and develop coping skills in a supportive environment. All services are provided at no cost, made possible by community support and fundraising.
This group will take place from January 12 to February 16. If you are interested in signing your child up for this group, please reach out to Taylor Emery, School Counselor, via email temery@mansd.org. For more information: https://www.friendsofaine.com
Hello everyone,
The PTO is excited to invite you to the Weston Holiday Shop this Saturday, December 6th, from 11 am to 5 pm. It's going to be an incredible day filled with holiday cheer and fantastic shopping opportunities!
We have a HUGE stock of gifts available, with a range of prices that are sure to fit every budget. If you want to preview some of the items, you can check them out here: https://myschool.kidskastle.com/weston-elm-pto/gifts. Remember, all students will need to be accompanied by an adult to join in the fun.
To make the experience even more enjoyable, we'll have hot cocoa available, but please remember it's cash only!
You might be curious as to why the shop is held only on Saturday this year. Last year, managing the event over several days during school hours proved challenging due to a shortage of volunteers. By hosting it during non-school hours, we aim to alleviate the pressure on teachers and create more volunteer opportunities.
Speaking of which, we need volunteers to help with various tasks such as assisting with shopping, keeping items stocked, cashing out, wrapping, setup, and breakdown. If you're available and willing to lend a hand, please sign up here: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/9040E4DAAA723A6FA7-60761010-holiday. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all for your support, and we look forward to seeing you at the Weston Holiday Shop!
