We had to move our Bat Drop to 10:00 at the Fire Department's request. We will gather on the playground at 9:45, have the Bat Drop at 10:00, and then the parade. Please feel free to watch from outside the playground gates, then cheer on the students while they parade around.

Weston School practiced a fire drill today with the Manchester Fire Department. Students did well exiting the building quickly and safely. It was our first drill with the alarm sound sounding, so some of the students may have felt a little nervous hearing it.

On Friday, administration met with the Manchester Police Department, the Traffic Department, and the assistant superintendent to discuss the morning drop-off challenges. The Manchester Police Department and Traffic Department have removed all on-street parking on Hanover Street from 7:30-9:00 am. This will become a right-turn-only lane onto Michigan Ave. Cars will still proceed up Michigan Ave to the already established drop-off locations. Please pull all the way up to the corner of Michigan and Briar so we can get as many cars as possible off Hanover Street at a time. The drop-off locations have not changed. The Manchester Police Department will be on site Monday morning. Please see the attached map. We will review these changes to see whether they help increase safety. Thank you for your patience while we work diligently to find a resolution.

Good morning,
We are working to clear up any confusion about morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up.
In the MORNING: Parents stay in their cars; teachers will open car doors and help your child out when you pull up to Michigan or Briar.
In the AFTERNOON: Grades 1-4 parents wait on the basketball court to pick up their child. Kindergarten families line up at the designated signs.
